stalled…
Friday night I had coffee with some friends til the wee hours of the morning at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at the Gateway Mall in Cubao. It was pleasantly relaxing, just talking about the mundane things in life, sometimes serious often times funny. When the rain stopped, we decided to go home, I offered to take one of my friends home since she just lives in UP, a short distance from my house. The moment I started the car, I noticed a change in its sound, something wasn’t quite right… maybe because it’s been raining hard; the engine might be having difficulty warming up. I drove her home to UP and I felt the car seemed to be coughing, if there is such a term for vehicular behavior. On my way home, on Katipunan fly over, the engine died
… I was freewheeling down towards P. Tuazon… almost home but not quite. The car stopped… in the dark part of the road where there were no lampposts. I was scared to death especially when my mobile phone battery was dead! Good grief! Was I to leave the car and attempt to walk what would be the longest 5 minutes of my life? Would I risk leaving the car and pray it doesn’t get hit by innocent drivers? Should I stay until it dawn?
I held my breath caressed the dashboard and prayed hard… I turned the key and the car sprang to life! Alleluia! After a few minutes, I was already in front of my gate! Home Free! ![]()
The following day, I had the car checked in a gas station, it seemed ok. My friend offered his emergency mechanic and said the car seemed ok but suggested a tune up.

(10-16 points) You are Garfield:
You are very comfortable, easygoing, and you definitely know how to have fun, but sometimes you take it to an extreme. You always know what you are doing and you are always in control of your life. Others may not see things as you do, but that doesn’t mean that you always have to do what is right. Try to remember your happy spirit may hurt you or others.
(18-26 points) You are Snoopy:
You are fun; you are very cool and popular. You always know what’s in and you never are out of style. You are good at knowing how to satisfy everyone else. You have probably disappeared for a few days more than once, but you always come home with the family values that you learned. Being married and having children are important to you, but only after you have had your share of fun times.
(22-28 points) You are Arnold:
You have lots of friends and you are also popular, always willing to give advice and help out a person in need. You are very optimistic and you always see the bright side of things. Some good advice: Try not to be too much of a dreamer. If not, you will have many conflicts with life.
(29-34 points) You are Sponge Bob Square Pants:
You are the classic person that everyone loves. You are the best friend that anyone could ever have and never want to lose. You never cause harm to anyone and they would never, not understand your feelings. Life is a journey, it’s funny and calm for the most part. Stay away from traitors and jealous people, and then you will be stress free.
(35-42 points) You are Charlie Brown:
You are tender, you fall in love quickly but you are also very serious about all relationships. You are a family person. You call your mom every Sunday. You have many friends and may occasionally forget a few birthdays. Don’t let your passion confuse you with reality.
(43-50 points) You are Dexter:
You are smart and definitely a thinker. Every situation is fronted with a plan. You have a brilliant mind. You demonstrate very strong family principles. You maintain a stable routine but never ignore a bad situation when it comes.

unprepared for battle…
I am inflicted with the most common illness in the world and I didn’t even have a chance to fight! I woke up Saturday morning with a stuffed dose… yes, my dose is clogged!
Those !@#$# viruses, yes all 100+ of you that cause colds! Come to think of it, no wonder I felt unusually tired last Friday night… and here I thought it was just because I worked so hard
… well, I do work hard, always!
This viral infection of the upper respiratory tract is making me sneeze… but then again, I love sneezing. Don’t you just feel relieved like you’ve removed something irritating (which is what sneezing does)?
I don’t even know how I got this virus, maybe on my way home through the MRT or when I was walking to the MRT station or it could be due to Friday weather changes. Unfortunate for me, I didn’t have time to bombard myself with vitamins so now I have to KILL THE COLD!
How does one kill a cold without having to overdose on antibiotics, especially the synthetic stuff? I read somewhere that natural antiobiotics such as Echinacea actually strengthens your body. This purple coneflower was used by American Indians for medicine. They say that this herb, unlike synthetic antibiotics that can’t tell good from bad bacteria, improves the efficiency of our immune system and even increases its numbers. However, there are also studies that say otherwise
oh well…

I got this “Simple Fruit Cleanser Formula” from www.Care2.com
It only uses one ingredient and supposed to fight free-radical damage, reducing age spots and fine lines. It also dissolves dead skin cells, cleansing and reviving the skin. It will make your skin soft and supple…
INGREDIENTS:
1 slice ripe pineapple or 1 tablespoon fresh pineapple juice
Rub the fruit or juice onto your face and allow to set until dry. Rinse with warm water and gently pat dry.
NOW ain’t that simple!
