milenyo
There was a typhoon (signal # 3) over Metro Manila yesterday… typhoon Milenyo left Manila in a state of devastation. It’s been a long time since an eye of the typhoon directly passed Metro Manila. The sad part was for those people (i’m not sure how many) who got killed from the billboards along EDSA that flew because of the strong winds.

-Master Hsing Yun, “Describing the Indescribable”

fruit fasting
I’m going on a fruit fasting with my officemates. We decided to do this because we read an article on the benefits of eating fruits, especially before meals.
One doesn’t feel hunger pangs because we are eating, there’s just a feeling of not being satisfied despite the fact that you feel you tummy is full.

Croc Hunter… no more!
Just read that the famous Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray barb to the heart on Batt Reef in Queensland State in Australia. Read the complete news item here.
I feel sad because we lost one of the most vocal and famous environmentalists and he’s funny, too! Though I’m not especially fond of crocodiles, it is a tragedy for any endangered animal to have lost a voice who is helping them fight for their survival.
Cheerio, croc hunter!
