work work work

It is just sooo much that I don’t even have time to complain hahaha huhuhu I think I’m on the verge of a breakdown. I have to contend myself with the little pleasures I force to sneak into my daily drudgery.

First is the battery charger I finally found for my small digital camera… yes I have another camera other than my DSLR Canon 350D and my SLR Nikon FA. I bought a second hand Fuji Finepix and it comes with an underwater casing. I was soo excited when I got it that I failed to check the battery adapter, it was 120v and not 220v so you know what happened. Anyway, I’ve found several chargers but the sales reps I encountered couldn’t confirm whether it was what I really needed. I started looking in August mind you.

Next is this fantasy book I’m reading… I was reading over my boyfriend’s shoulder while waiting to have the van fixed and he said that if I’m really interested I should read the first book. It’s a story of a girl who didn’t know she had magic.

Another one is my new gadget, a Blackberry 8700g. However, I have yet to enjoy it as there are some technical hurdles I have to go through.

GOSH… I feel so pathetic, I don’t even have my digicam’s exact model nor the title of the book I’m reading…

I will have a better posting next time…. I hope…

I have to save this quote… hehehe

We firmly believe there is more to life than money, beer, and sex. We just don`t know what it is.

the banquet

Last Sunday, we were able to catch the movie The Banquet by directed by Xiaogang Feng starring Zhang Ziyi (Empress Wan) and Daniel Wu (Crown Prince Wu Luan). If you’re expecting loads of fight scenes, you’ll be disappointed but it is a good movie nonetheless. It deals with court intrigue/politics during the Five Dynasties period in China following a Hamlet set up. I especially love the swordplay scene between Empress Wan and Prince Wu Luan with the empress attacking the prince with a short dagger. It was a magnificent dance done in “traditional” Chinese film martial arts with spins, leaps and flying. The story is crisp and has a several very intriguing characters unlike most Hollywood films where there has to be only one central hero/heroin.

This film is definitely worth catching
