event ramblings

It’s way past 6pm, almost 7 even and I’m still here in the office. I had to oversee an event that I soooo despise. My boss inadvertently agreed to sponsor this event by providing the venue. Of course venue means not just having a place for people to gather and have a talkfest. It entails arranging for presentation equipment, seating plan, layout, visitors’ registration, coffee service among others. He’s learned his lesson and told me that next time that I can say to his face that if he wants it done, he has to do it himself. Don’t you just love my boss!

It isn’t so bad sponsoring as long as the organizer who asked the favor doesn’t take advantage of you. You give them a hand and they take not just your arm but also your leg. And the frustrating part is that if I don’t try, it gets reflected on my organization.

Anyway, it just wrapped up. I can now go back doing more worthwhile activities…. like blog hahahah
