I’ve seen em both, but I can’t seem to determine the trigger or switch which makes you see the other way. hmmm. any ideas?

My officemate’s yaya stories… serious conversations turning into a slapstick joke…

the moronic answers don’t always come from the yaya harharhar enjoy!

“Yaya, tawag mo ko ng taxi.”

“Now na?”

“Yaya, tumawag ka ng taxi, pero dun sa may Mercury ha, para di na kayo ikot.”

“San po yung Mercury?”

“Dun sa binibilhan mo ng barbecue.”

“Aaaaah… Di ko po alam yun.” (This is not the punchline.)

“Di ba dito yung bilihan ng barbecue (puts barbecue stick on the table), andito yung Mercury (puts Mercury Drug suki card on the table), tapos dito yung BPI (puts BPI ATM card beside), dito ka mag-abang para kanan na.”

“Sige po, ate.”

Leaves, then returns after 15 minutes.

“Andyan na ang taxi?”

“Wala pa po ate. May tatanong lang po ako.”

“Ano?”

“Pag po ba nakakita na ko sa kanto ng taxi, pwede ko na parahin yun?”

“Ate, saan po galing yung itlog na maalat?”

“Itlog ng pato yan, hindi sa manok.”

“Pag initlog po ba yan pula na agad?”

One night seeing yaya sitting on her bed in front of the electric fan. She was humming along with it. “Mmmmmmmmmmmm…”

“Anong ginagawa mo? Matulog ka na.”

“Hihihihi. Wala po ate. May hinihintay lang po akong text.”

“Anong text? Ikaw puro ka kaboyprenan ha. Patingin ng cellphone mo.”

“Ayoko po.”

“Gusto mo bawiin namin yan?”

“Ay naku ate, wala po kayong makikita dyan.”

I got the cellphone and checked out her Contacts.

“Anong wala? Eto oh, puro lalaki ang nasa address book mo.”

“Hindi po, mga pwends ko lang po yan.”

“Friends daw. Sino tong Severial Palsi?”

“Wala po ate, di ko po kilala yan. Napanood ko lang po yan sa TV, nagtetext gamit ang paa. Tapos nakalagay po sa TV yung number nya. Ite-textmate ko po sana pero hindi naman nagrereply.”

“Ang pangalan nya Severial Palsi?”

“Si ate talaga, ano ba, sakit nya po yan. Kala ko po matalino kayo?”

I heart yaya.

Sentimental determination

It’s been raining … it’s days like this that I miss UP… walking the shiny pathways after the rain… it smells so fresh, so clean… it clears my mind… it’s therapeutic. I can hear the rumble of thunder, I can feel the chill in my bones… it sounds foreboding, yet exciting… you can feel the peace after the chaos…

The best part — fishballs, squidballs, mountain dew afterwards! Panalo!

Last night my bracelet fell through the crack on my bedroom floor… had it been any ordinary bracelet, I would have left it there to be feasted on by those creatures under… but this was special, the boyfriend gave it to me for my birthday… so I got myself a paring knife, those short bladed ones that are really sharp, and made the crack big enough to force my hand through it… it showed me how determined, persevering and patient I was harharhar… it took me 2 hours and a bruise til I was finally able to squeeze my hand through the hole to get it… that crack/hole is now covered with the ever reliable and friendly duct tape =D

rants and ramblings on gossiping…

I was recently dragged into a malicious rumor… for my own protection, no details will be divulged… just my angst on the gossipmonger whom I thought was my friend. It is sad to experience your friend not having faith in you, if there ever was… sad that that person didn’t even have the decency to talk to you and clarify things… in fact ignored all your calls… sad that you poured your heart out to that person only to be betrayed by spreading malicious notions about you…

I have forgiven that person but I know in my heart that we will never be friends again… civility probably but I don’t think I can ever trust that person… fool me once, shame on you… fool me twice, shame on me… time may heal all wounds but a scar is still left… I hope and pray that we soon find peace and healing in this turmoil…

… let the rain wash away all the dirt, pain and ugliness… let’s start anew…

exercising again… finally!

finally i went running yesterday… after almost 2 months of a hiatus… well, i was busy with my dance… but i didnt push it too hard, but it felt good… it felt great to run… especially yesterday, when there was a light breeze but still warm enough to make you sweat.

after running, i played hockey… i miss playing with 4 walls… despite the rough pool floor… man was i tired… but happy, i’m in my element… the water…

today… it’s hockey night again…. with some training for the Singapore tournament… which i’m not sure if i’m joining… maybe more out of curiosity hehehe but let’s train anyway… oh more chlorine… darn… my hair! hahaha
