big David vs small David
who will win? you’re guess is as good as mine… saw the show last night (i was one of those who rushed to see the 8pm sched) and Archuleta was really good especially his first song… but after 2 more similar songs I got bored with him. Cookey’s songs were fresh though maybe not the materials to make him win….
here are some posts that makes this season all the more interesting… I got this from www.rickey.org
- Judges think David Archuleta knocked out David Cook in last night’s show… AND almost all media outlets agree
- BUT all other indicators like iTunes, DialIdol, Zabasearch and virtually every Internet poll points to a massive and lopsided David Cook win
and this is what i also truly believe: Win or lose, David Cook has the potential to outsell David Archuleta in anything. YEY! Unless Disney channel gets Archuleta then he may have a fighting chance ala Hannan Montana.
and the clock ticks…. let’s wait and see…

house hunting…
We went house hunting over the weekend… with only 2 real appointments, we spent the rest of Sunday driving around and wasting gas in areas we were thinking of setting up the nest. We were armed with the latest copy of buy and sell complete with highlighted ads. I also tried making phone calls and text inquiries but the pickings were slim, I suppose the weekend made them too lazy to answer. We checked out Greenhills Garden Square near Camp Crame. I did a double take when they opened the door to a 2-bedroom unit. The living/dining area was soo tiny! Well, maybe it was just right, I don’t know, I am not used to living in spaces where you have to maximize every inch. It looked like it was just as big as my room and I already find my room small being the pack-rat that I am. They showed us a combined unit and my goodness, it was literally that… 2 units with the walls removed. The living/dining was nice… spacious but the bedrooms were oddly shaped, especially the master’s bedroom. Next was a meeting with some guy for some townhouse in Pasig… beware of vague locations… Pasig could be Kapitolyo or near Cainta and I don’t want to live in the fake Ortigas Avenue (Ortigas extension). The place was in C. Raymundo… I already expressed my hesitation but curiosity got the better of me… we followed the grand-daddy-ish looking guy… lo and behold, I found myself in unfamiliar territory. The only familiar place was Arlington and we’ve passed that ages ago… I didn’t like the distance we were covering… We eventually got to Pasig Millennium Garden/Square (I forget) and the place was actually nice, it was the only unit with a garden, one can imagine lazy weekend brunches outside, the house was not yet laspag, it still felt a bit new. Had it been located in a “friendlier” place, we would get it… There was one last reply in Kapitolyo, some low-rise condo place at West Drive (?)…. really small and only 1 bathroom!!! Plus you could hear the tricycles plying the streets. Sunday was spent driving around San Juan, Greenhills, Pasig Kapitolyo area…. We also looked at several “cheap” townhouses for sale in good locations with good sized rooms. I am now getting the hang of this thing… I now notice the kind of floorings used, the bathrooms, the walls and cabinetry… I am also discovering things about myself… I didn’t realize I was picky about bathrooms, kitchens and cabinets…. I can imagine the flows through the house, whether guests would have an easy time visiting, if the house is airy, if there’s good ventilation… it’s amazing.
